SPOTTED: Thiago Silva saves Kepa, makes two goal line clearances in one minute!

Thiago Silva saved what would have been a goal for Brighton in the second minute against Chelsea. This of course is not the first time the veteran had made goal line clearances in critical goalkeeping situations.

This comes just after another goal-saving clearance against RB Salzburg in the Champions League earlier this week. The Brazilian had cleared what would have been an equalizer for the Austrian side, but a quick intervention from him had saved the Blues after Kepa missed a cross.

Thiago was back at it again today, this time against Brighton. In just one minute, Thiago Silva prevented two goal attempts while filling in for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Kepa nowhere to be found:

Thiago Silva saves the day:

With his goal-saving clearance today, he has now become the first ever Player To Make 3 Goal Line Clearances In Two Games.

Since His Chelsea Debut In 2020, No Player In Football Has Made More Goal Line Clearance Than Thiago Silva (11)

Premier League -7

Champions League - 4

Incredible stats for the 38 year old.

CONFIRMED: Todd Boehly finally decides on FIVE players who will be leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Todd Boehly has decided he will offload five Chelsea players.  Since taking over as Co-owner of Chelsea, it has not clicked for Todd Boehly despite splashing the cash to sign some of the big names in world football.  Consecutive run of losses and sloppy display from players are two core reasons the Blues will be considering a squad overhaul this summer, and five players will be offloaded. According to a report from the Spanish publication SPORT, it is claimed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hakim Ziyech, Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are being lined up for sale which could raise a whopping £129 million. If the market values of the players in question are met, it would provide the incoming Chelsea manager with a hefty transfer chest to spend and bring in a couple of new faces to bolster the squad over the summer.
