 Djordje Petrovic is the latest player to sign for Chelsea this summer. Following the arrivals of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, the Blues have now spent over £850million since Todd Boehly took over in May 2022. His signing comes after Kepa Arrizabalaga's Real Madrid departure and Bettinelli's injury. Chelsea currently do not have a second choice goalkeeper and are desperate for a backup for Robert Sanchez who still appears quick shaky between the sticks.  Hence, the signing of Serbian sensation, Djordje Petrović.  The Chelsea coach has spoken out on his decision to make Reece James captain. Chelsea will be back in action against Liverpool on Sunday and head coach Mauricio Pochettino spoke on several issues affecting the squad.  One of such was his decision to make Reece James captain over Thiago Silva.  Earlier this week, Reece James was appointed captain of Chelsea Football Club, a decision that sparked numerous reactions from Chelsea fans. Thiago Silva was favourite in everyway to become Blues captain given his experience and excellent leadership qualities.  However, Mauricio Pochettino has clarified the issue.
