Thiago Silva is one Chelsea player who is worthy of all the hype he gets. At 38, he doesn't only defend excellently, he reads the game effectively.

The Blues were back in Champions League action against RB Salzburg on Tuesday night. Goals from Mateo Kovacic and Kai Havertz had sealed the victory for the Blues over a relentless Salzburg side, but Thiago Silva played his own role to prevent the Austrian outfit from scoring an equalizer against Chelsea in the 69th minute.

Salzburg man, Pavlovic won a header in Chelsea's box in the 69th minute after Kepa's mistake. The Salzburg defender thought he would equalise but the Brazilian had other ideas. Thiago Silva brilliantly cleared Kepa's mistake in a way that makes one just wonder what stuff on earth the man was built with!
