£200,000-per-week former Chelsea star set for shock Premier League return in January.

The £200,000 per-week former Chelsea star is set to return to the Premier League in January.

Former Chelsea star, Eden Hazard could make a shocking return to the Premier League in January as Aston Villa are heavily linked with the 31-year old.

Per reports, Villa have identified the playmaker as a potential transfer target for 2023.

English outfit, Villa had announced last month that they had appointed Unai Emery as successor to Steven Gerrard who was sacked following a 3-0 defeat to Fulham.

Emery returns to coach an Aston Villa side who are 16th on the table, just one point above relegation zone. His next fixtures include games against Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion, while Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur await the West Midlands outfit after the World Cup.

Unai Emery will be looking to turn things around in the second half of the Premier League campaign and may be allowed to make new additions to his squad in January.

According to Defensa Central, Villa may make an ambitious attempt to secure the services of Hazard.

Hazard who has been a pure shadow of himself since leaving Chelsea for Los Blancos could look to regain form under Emery.

At Chelsea, he contributed 85 goals and 61 assists from his 245 top-flight appearances across all competitions and may thrive well in the League he once dominated should he return to Aston Villa.
