Chelsea Legend claims Graham Potter is the right man for Chelsea and backs him to succeed amid poor run of games.

The Chelsea Legend claims Graham Potter is the right man for the Chelsea job and has backed him to succeed.

Former Chelsea and Leeds United striker, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has backed Graham Potter to succeed at Chelsea. This comes after Graham Potter's four-consecutive defeats that have left him under pressure from some section of Chelsea fans who have called for him to be sacked.

Potter took charge of Chelsea early in September after Thomas Tuchel was surprisingly sacked by Todd Boehly. Things started very well under Graham Potter  but he tasted his first defeat against his former club, Brighton in an embarrassing 4-1 loss at the Anex stadium.

Since then, things have not gone down well for Potter.

Chelsea have lost their last three games in all competitions, which included defeats like a 1-0 loss to Arsenal and 2-0 defeat against Manchester City. This has led to the manager coming under pressure from a certain section of the fanbase.

However, Chelsea icon, Hasselbaink has come to Potter’s rescue. The former Chelsea striker said as quoted by Football.london:

“If you want to build something, you have to build it from the bottom. Yes, there are going to be difficult moments, but you need to stay with the plan. You might have to tweak it here and there, but you have to stay with your beliefs, you have to stay with your vision, and you have to give the manager the time.”

“Whatever you say, people are going to have their opinion – and they are entitled to have their opinion. They’re entitled to say whatever they say, but I don’t think that it is going to stop the Chelsea owner. They need to have their vision, their direction, and you know, the more haters, the better for Chelsea. As simple as that.” Hasselbaink added.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea's current form is as a result of their many injury woes as they are currently without key players Reece James, Kanté, Wesley Fofana, Ben Chilwell including Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Hopefully, after the break, these missing figures in the squad will return and then, Chelsea's problems will be figured out as to whether Potter is the culprit.

CONFIRMED: Todd Boehly finally decides on FIVE players who will be leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Todd Boehly has decided he will offload five Chelsea players.  Since taking over as Co-owner of Chelsea, it has not clicked for Todd Boehly despite splashing the cash to sign some of the big names in world football.  Consecutive run of losses and sloppy display from players are two core reasons the Blues will be considering a squad overhaul this summer, and five players will be offloaded. According to a report from the Spanish publication SPORT, it is claimed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hakim Ziyech, Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are being lined up for sale which could raise a whopping £129 million. If the market values of the players in question are met, it would provide the incoming Chelsea manager with a hefty transfer chest to spend and bring in a couple of new faces to bolster the squad over the summer.
