Didier Drogba outlines why Chelsea should sign £112,000-per-week Man Utd target as his successor.

Despite signing Aubameyang with Christopher Nkunku imminent, Chelsea could still be in need of a forward to bolster their attack long-term, and Didier Drogba has the right answer to the Blues' attacking questions.

Didier Drogba has outlined why Chelsea should sign £112,000-per-week Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen. Chelsea could still be in need of a clinical striker despite signing Aubameyang, with Christopher Nkunku's deal very likely to happen in January, and Didier Drogba has commended Osimhen 's qualities as one the Blues are in need of.

Since leaving Chelsea, the Blues have lacked a quality striker and have long been on the search for one. Lukaku was one of such strikers Chelsea had gotten to solve their long-term striking issues, but the Belgian turned out to be a nightmare signing and returned to Inter on loan.

Aubameyang was signed to replace him, and has not really been the signing Chelsea needed him to be.

Per the Manchester Evening news, Manchester United are keen on bringing Victor Osimhen to Old Trafford next summer. As reported by the Manchester Evening News, the 23-year-old Napoli star features on a dossier of centre-forwards compiled by Erik ten Hag and senior members of the recruitment team.

Osimhen is the top scorer in Serie A and has eight goals for Napoli, who are eight points clear at the top of the Italian league. He appeals to United as he has thrived in two of the major European leagues, having played in Ligue 1 with Lille prior to his €80m transfer to Napoli in 2020.

One incident in particular caught Didier Drogba's attention. During Napoli's Champions League clash with Ajax last month, Osimhen allowed a fellow teammate to take a penalty rather than add to his own tally.

Taking to Twitter, Drogba wrote: "That’s a complete striker. Unselfishness… The real meaning of 'win as A TEAM'!!!!"

No doubt, Didier Drogba's recommendation of Osimhen is one that will propel the Blues to consider a move for him in January.

CONFIRMED: Todd Boehly finally decides on FIVE players who will be leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Todd Boehly has decided he will offload five Chelsea players.  Since taking over as Co-owner of Chelsea, it has not clicked for Todd Boehly despite splashing the cash to sign some of the big names in world football.  Consecutive run of losses and sloppy display from players are two core reasons the Blues will be considering a squad overhaul this summer, and five players will be offloaded. According to a report from the Spanish publication SPORT, it is claimed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hakim Ziyech, Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are being lined up for sale which could raise a whopping £129 million. If the market values of the players in question are met, it would provide the incoming Chelsea manager with a hefty transfer chest to spend and bring in a couple of new faces to bolster the squad over the summer.
