Despite signing Aubameyang with Christopher Nkunku imminent, Chelsea could still be in need of a forward to bolster their attack long-term, and Didier Drogba has the right answer to the Blues' attacking questions.
Didier Drogba has outlined why Chelsea should sign £112,000-per-week Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen. Chelsea could still be in need of a clinical striker despite signing Aubameyang, with Christopher Nkunku's deal very likely to happen in January, and Didier Drogba has commended Osimhen 's qualities as one the Blues are in need of.Per the Manchester Evening news, Manchester United are keen on bringing Victor Osimhen to Old Trafford next summer. As reported by the Manchester Evening News, the 23-year-old Napoli star features on a dossier of centre-forwards compiled by Erik ten Hag and senior members of the recruitment team.
Osimhen is the top scorer in Serie A and has eight goals for Napoli, who are eight points clear at the top of the Italian league. He appeals to United as he has thrived in two of the major European leagues, having played in Ligue 1 with Lille prior to his €80m transfer to Napoli in 2020.
One incident in particular caught Didier Drogba's attention. During Napoli's Champions League clash with Ajax last month, Osimhen allowed a fellow teammate to take a penalty rather than add to his own tally.
Taking to Twitter, Drogba wrote: "That’s a complete striker. Unselfishness… The real meaning of 'win as A TEAM'!!!!"
No doubt, Didier Drogba's recommendation of Osimhen is one that will propel the Blues to consider a move for him in January.
