The reports suggest that Potter is trying to build a progressive team at Chelsea. Ronaldo's coming could hinder all of such rebuild.
It was reported that one of the primary reasons for Thomas Tuchel's fall-out with interim Sporting Director, Todd Boehly was the German's refusal to include Ronaldo in his options for the summer. It remains to be seen how Todd Boehly will handle Graham Potter’s refusal as well, to let Ronaldo have a chance in his squad rebuild.
