Chelsea set to reward attacker after stunning transfer decision.

The Blues are set to reward the attacker with a new, improved contract.

Per Daily Mail, Chelsea are set to reward Conor Gallagher with a new improved contract following his decision to remain at Chelsea in the just concluded summer transfer window. The midfielder had attracted interest from Everton, including former loan side, Crystal Palace.

Gallagher is believed to currently be earning £50,000 per week at Stamford Bridge, and that could be as much as doubled on a new deal. He is currently tied down until 2025, with an extension on that also expected.

However – amid the speculation – Former Liverpool star Stan Collymore claimed that Gallagher will be leaving the club soon, Speaking to CaughtOffside, Collymore said: “In terms of players leaving, they’ll want to keep a large chunk of their homegrown British players but Conor Gallagher is one I can see being moved on.

“If it were up to me, I’d let him go, either out on loan or permanently. He’s a player they could get a really good fee for and they’d not be short of suitors. The likes of Everton, Aston Villa, and maybe even Newcastle United, would all probably be interested.”

No doubt Gallagher is very much talented if given the chance to thrive with massive playing time. Do you think he deserves a new contract Blues?
