"Potter is a good coach!" — Chelsea Legend demands patience from Chelsea fans over Graham Potter's situation at the club.

The Chelsea Legend has called for the Blues to exercise patience with Graham Potter.

Chelsea Legend Gianfranco Zola has called for Chelsea fans to exercise patience with Graham Potter following the Blues' poor run of form.

This comes after their recent defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their Champions League tie. A goal from Karim Adeyemi saw the Blues lose to the German outfit. This, of course numbers Chelsea's wins to be just two, in fourteen games and an endless run of losses and draws.

Chelsea fans are bearing the brunt of these losses and at some point, have called for Graham Potter's sack. Chelsea Legend, Gianfranco Zola believes Potter should be given time:

‘Graham is a very qualified coach,’ Zola said as quoted by Metro.

‘He’s done well in different leagues so hopefully he can do well at Chelsea.

‘It’s a different scenario for him and he will have to adapt. But it’s worth having faith and giving him time I think.

‘I can understand it’s difficult at the moment because he has a lot of young players – good, young players – but still young that are adapting from different leagues.

‘It’s not easy for them, it is not easy for the manager. But unfortunately the requirements at Chelsea are now different, they’ve been so successful in recent years so the standards and the requirements are higher now." Zola added.

"We all know  Abramovich did things but this is a new era. They are trying to establish a new mentality and a new way." Zola continued

‘I feel for Graham because I know what it’s like to have too many players, it’s not easy to coach everyone and create a good atmosphere. It’s a tough job for him right now.’

Do you think sacking Potter is the solution to Chelsea's problems, Blues?

CONFIRMED: Todd Boehly finally decides on FIVE players who will be leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Todd Boehly has decided he will offload five Chelsea players.  Since taking over as Co-owner of Chelsea, it has not clicked for Todd Boehly despite splashing the cash to sign some of the big names in world football.  Consecutive run of losses and sloppy display from players are two core reasons the Blues will be considering a squad overhaul this summer, and five players will be offloaded. According to a report from the Spanish publication SPORT, it is claimed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hakim Ziyech, Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are being lined up for sale which could raise a whopping £129 million. If the market values of the players in question are met, it would provide the incoming Chelsea manager with a hefty transfer chest to spend and bring in a couple of new faces to bolster the squad over the summer.
