Chelsea have been linked with a potential transfer for Neymar Jr. in the last few days.
Co-owner Todd Boehly met with Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser al Khelaifi on Tuesday in Paris to discuss a potential transfer for Brazilian superstar Neymar, according to a report from ESPN.Neymar, 31, is still producing at a high level for the Ligue 1 leaders with 17 goals and 16 assists in all competitions this season, but his weekly wages — reported to be $730,000 per week — and injury problems have made him less valuable to the club, especially now that its attack features both Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi.
Chelsea would undoubtedly benefit from having a player of Neymar's quality. However, PSG's asking price for the star player seems to be an obstacle for a deal to happen between both clubs.
Per multiple reports, PSG demand N'Golo Kanté and Hakim Ziyech for a deal to come through between both clubs. Recall Hakim Ziyech had been linked with a move to the French outfit, a deal which did not materialise on deadline day.
N'Golo Kanté is also one player whose future at the Bridge is uncertain. His contract expires this season, with talks of a new contract still not gaining full momentum.
It remains to be seen whether Neymar will consider a move to Chelsea, and whether the Blues will give in to their demands of giving out two of their key players.
