Chelsea complete hijack of highly-rated Jamaican attacker from Newcastle with pre-contract agreement already signed.

Chelsea have completed the signing of the Jamaican wonderkid.

Chelsea have reached a full agreement with Phoenix All Stars to sign Dujuan Richards. After impressing on trial with Newcastle, Chelsea officials travelled to Jamaica to hijack the deal.

Richards, 17 currently plays as an attacker and is a schoolboy at Kingston College. Phoenix president, Craig Butler, had confirmed that Richards, who is nicknamed ‘Whisper’, is set to link up with a ‘top five team in the Premier League’ – and the team was believed to be Newcastle.

Per new reports, Chelsea are said to have hijacked the deal for Dujuan who had been on trial with Newcastle United.

Richards has just completed a stellar season at schoolboy football level in Jamaica, scoring more than 30 goals for Kingston College. He secured his first call-up to the senior Jamaica squad for a training camp last week, highlighting the rapid extent of his progress.

Butler added: “He is a very talented young player, and a very powerful young player, and a very dedicated young player.

“I believe that it is now the right time to make the move, to go and show what he can do so that when it is time for him to sign, he would have been well-known and well-appreciated by clubs in England and mainland Europe.”

He will join Chelsea after he turns 18 in November.

However, it’s unclear if Richards will go into the Chelsea first team or youth academy. It’s also unclear when Richards will be leaving Jamaica for England.

CONFIRMED: Todd Boehly finally decides on FIVE players who will be leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Todd Boehly has decided he will offload five Chelsea players.  Since taking over as Co-owner of Chelsea, it has not clicked for Todd Boehly despite splashing the cash to sign some of the big names in world football.  Consecutive run of losses and sloppy display from players are two core reasons the Blues will be considering a squad overhaul this summer, and five players will be offloaded. According to a report from the Spanish publication SPORT, it is claimed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hakim Ziyech, Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are being lined up for sale which could raise a whopping £129 million. If the market values of the players in question are met, it would provide the incoming Chelsea manager with a hefty transfer chest to spend and bring in a couple of new faces to bolster the squad over the summer.
