Newcastle United agree audacious deal to land £325,000-a-week Chelsea flop in the summer.

Newcastle United have agreed to land the Chelsea star in the summer.

Newcastle United are planning to make an audacious move for Romelu Lukaku next summer, per Italian outlet Calciomercato.

However, the report adds that any potential deal for Lukaku is dependent on whether Newcastle secure a top-four finish this term. The magpies currently sit third on the table with 30 points and are looking to strengthen their attack in the coming months.

The Belgian earns a whooping £325,000-per-week wage and has been out of favor with the Blues hierarchy, including the fans after performing below expectations, plus his famous controversial interview with Sky Sports.

He is currently on loan with Inter Milan and could make a full return to the Premier League should Newcastle United sign him on a permanent deal. On the flip side, Lukaku is currently struggling with his form after recovering from injury, and is not at his best. A move to Chelsea had not favored him, and would likely not perform should he make the move to Newcastle.

However, in the past, he has recorded hundreds of goals in the League and could do better if he gets over his injury saga. With Chelsea reportedly having no interest in Lukaku, Newcastle could be the perfect destination for him.
