Not only Maguire, FOUR Manchester United players set to leave Old Trafford with Chelsea as their potential destination—REPORTS.
Per reports from Fabrizio Romano, Harry Maguire and four other Manchester United players are keen on leaving the club.
Recall Manchester United had involved Harry Maguire in their deal as part-exchange for Mason Mount and Stamford Bridge could be his next destination should the Blues hierarchy permit. However, per new reports, four United players are also keen on a move away from old Trafford, and Chelsea could be their next destination should any of them be involved in a deal for Mason Mount.
These players include Wout Weghorst, Dean Henderson, Donny Van-de-Beek with Maguire inclusive.
In 2021, Chelsea had offered £50M to sign Henderson during Frank Lampard's tenure at the Bridge, a bid which was rejected by Manchester United. With the English star failing to have playing time at United, and with Chelsea in need of goalkeeping options to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy, the Blues could salvage a move for Henderson who is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest.
With the Blues also in need of a clinical striker, Stamford Bridge could be the next destination for Wout Weghorst who also wants to leave Old Trafford. The Loanee joined United in the summer of 2022 and has not had a dream season at the club. Everton are reportedly interested in him.
Donny Van-de-Beek could be looking to re-unite with former teammate Hakim Ziyech at Stamford Bridge should Chelsea make a move for him as well. The midfielder's move to Manchester has been a nightmare and disastrous for his career, and per reports, he will be exploring options to leave this summer.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea will be interested in acquiring the signatures of any of these out-of-favor United stars.
