"What Mikel Obi always told me about Nigeria." — Chelsea Legend John Terry reveals.

Former Chelsea legendary captain, John Terry has revealed what former teammate John Mikel Obi told him about Nigeria.

Terry was recently in Nigeria to feature in a game tagged “Battle of the Greats” at Onikan Stadium.

According to him, Mikel, a former Super Eagles captain, who he described as a proud man and friend, always told him how beautiful Nigeria is.

Terry left Chelsea in 2017 after spending 22 years at Stamford Bridge. Within this period, he played alongside Nigeria ex-internationals such as Mikel, Victor Moses, and Celestine Babayaro.

Speaking at a press conference, Terry, said, “I got to play with some big legends from Nigeria.

“The most recent John Obi Mikel who probably at Chelsea was one of my best friends, he is a very proud man of where he comes from.

“He always made it clear to us English players how beautiful his country was and how much passion you guys showed."
