Cole Palmer is Manchester City's hottest and exciting talents.
It had been reported that an agreement has been reached with Manchester City over a deal for Palmer in the region of £45million. The west London outfit had seen an initial offer worth £35million for the 21-year-old turned down, with a second bid on Wednesday night agreed upon and a medical reported to be booked for Thursday.
Palmer is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge as he searches for more consistent game time after receiving the nod in a handful of games for Pep Guardiola. The England youth international has played a big part in a few games so far this season, scoring huge goals in the Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup.
The forward joining Chelsea will answer a request from Mauricio Pochettino to add another forward option to his ranks, with the versatility to play on the wings as well as at No.10. He will also have Premier League experience, something requested of a target for the head coach, albeit with limited minutes.
With a switch ready to be announced in the next day or so, bar any late twists, it will see Palmer reunite with international teammate Madueke. The pair have played alongside each other for England across all the youth levels, most recently for the under-21s in the European Championships.
